Daughters of the Holy Cross

Who are Daughters of All Saints?
We are members of an Order of Anglican women, each with a prayerfully crafted fourfold Rule of Life that reflects her skills, gifts, and circumstances. We are gathered as a Chapter of the Order to encourage and support one another as we live according to our Rule.

What is a Rule of Life?

A Rule of Life is something like a trellis that supports the growth and flourishing of the plant. The trellis itself does not produce the fruit, but the vine is more fruitful because of the trellis. When a woman enters into the three-months period of study and discernment, she prayerfully and carefully crafts her own Rule of Life under the care and guidance of her mentors and clergy. Each woman’s Rule will be fourfold, reflecting the Rule of the Order, but unique, reflecting healthy stewardship of the gifts God has given her as she vows to: pray daily, serve where she is, study Holy Scripture regularly, and share Jesus with those who do not know him.

What do members of Daughters of All Saints do?

Members participate in Chapter Life to the degree each one is able. The Chapter meets twice monthly for times of sharing, learning, prayer, and encouragement for the daily faithful observance of each one’s fourfold Rule of Life and of the vow of the Order.

We host two annual evenings of prayer for the women of our parish and their guests. Individually, we serve in many ministries of the parish and in our community.

Daughters of All Saints – Springfield was instituted on June 30, 2024, with The Reverend Dr. Jim Bright presiding. Founding members were: Joyce Allen, Roseann Blunt, Shellie Foltz, Valli Mills, Krista Wilson, and Lacey Eyberg.
