Children

Welcome to Children’s Ministry

We are a liturgical church and enjoy the seasons of the church year, as well as the calendar year.

We have been enjoying the season of “Trinity” or “Ordinary Time”…which is anything but ordinary! It’s just like Summer giving way to Fall.  So much to see and do. Come and visit to see what The LORD is up to here at All Saints!

Children’s Sunday School

We will continue in the Old Testament starting in 1 Kings with the curriculum The Gospel Project
Volume 5; A Nation Divided
We are currently in recess for the summer and will resume August 24
9:45 to 10:45 a.m.

What to Expect

Moonbeams:
Ages 1-2 meet in our nursery room at 9:45 for singing, a short lesson, prayer and playtime. We use The Gospel Project here too.  Please be sure to walk your child to class and pick them up again at 10:45. If you are attending our 8:30 or 11:00 service, they may stay in the nursery to be watched over while you are worshipping.

Sunshine Kids:
Ages 3 – 4 meet in classroom #1. We will begin our time together with Ms. Susan in song, learning church hymns, praise songs and a memory verse. Then the Bible lesson will be told and explored through activities and/or crafts. Children will be led across to Nursery at the end of class if not picked up by a parent.

Lamplighters:
Ages 5 -7 gather in classroom #3 as early as 9:45, or as soon as first service dismisses. Bible work & prayer is guided by the curriculum, and the liturgical seasons of the Church year. Through role playing and activities this age is up and active to receive enhanced learning.

Junior Saints:
Ages 8-11 meet in classroom #4 at 9:45 to discuss a “Big Picture Question” presented by the curriculum and to read from NIV classroom Bibles. The lesson will be the same as the other classrooms, so brothers and sisters can share and compare while they work on the same memory verse, no matter their age.

Our Teachers

Many loving adults have committed to serving our All Saints children and their families as teachers, classroom assistants, and substitutes.  Using The Gospel Project has blessed not only the students but enriched the adults’ Bible knowledge as they prepare each week.

Children’s Library

Located in the Education Wing, our Children’s library contains fiction & nonfiction books, and flashcards! Many Children’s Story Bibles are there to be sampled so that the right one for the right child may be discovered.

You can sign something out for 2 weeks or 2 months. Just be sure to bring it back in good condition so others can enjoy it.

Some new titles have been added over the summer. Come check them out!
