YOUTH

This semester, our class will be focusing on different topics from the catechism that are especially important in our spiritual life and are relevant to current-day issues. It’s like Catechism class for confirmation, but more narrowly tailored to specific sections of the Catechism so that we have time to dive deeper into the subjects.

We’ll start with the Sacraments, with particular attention given to the two established by the Lord directly, Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We will look at questions about what the Sacraments are, what they accomplish in and for us, and the traditions surrounding them, particularly from an Anglican perspective.

The goal is to engage with the Catechism and our formularies, such as the Book of Common Prayer and the 39 Articles of Religion, in order to gain a deeper appreciation and understanding of these topics.
