about us

All Saints Anglican Church is a member congregation of the Anglican Church of North America and under the ecclesiastical direction of Archbishop Robert Duncan as a mission of the Anglican Dioceses of Pittsburgh.

All Saints Anglican Church formed from a house group which met weekly between 2003 and 2005 for worship, prayer and bible study. In the summer of 2003 it was decided to move toward the formation of a church and it was agreed that the first public service would be held on the First Sunday of Advent, November 27, 2005.

Our first service was conducted by Bishop William Cox. He charged us to become a beacon of hope and light in the Springfield area.

As plans were being made for that first service several locations were discussed. We were fortunate that Immanuel Lutheran, a small congregation of the Free Lutheran Church of America, offered use of space at their building at 2756 Blackman Road, Springfield, Missouri. We have continued to meet there until the summer of 2011. In the intervening years the congregation has more than doubled in size from its original 23 members and we are pleased to announce that Rev. Douglas McGlynn is our full-time rector.

This past year, in 2011, God has blessed All Saints with 17 acres of land and an existing building that has been remodeled into a suitable temporary worship space (Galloway House) until the completion of the new church building. The new church will be along Galloway Street and Galloway House will be the primary location for All Saints Academy for Home School. Both All Saints Academy and All Saints Anglican Church are meeting at Galloway House and All Saints Academy is offering Spring Extravaganza Classes this Spring, 2012 and will offer full semester courses in the fall of 2012.
